Linen Blend Skirt | open edit
We designed our linen blend skirt for those mornings when you want to look pulled-together without trying too hard. The fabric balances the breathability of linen with the smooth finish of cotton, so you get that lived-in texture without excessive wrinkling.

Pure linen wrinkles the moment you sit down. Pure cotton loses that breezy, textured look linen lovers want. Our blend splits the difference at 55% linen and 45% cotton, giving you the airflow and natural texture of linen with enough cotton to hold a smoother shape through the day.

Sizing & silhouette
The open edit linen blend skirt runs true to size with a relaxed fit through the hip and thigh. The elastic waistband stretches about two inches beyond the labeled waist measurement, so if you’re between sizes, we recommend going with your usual choice rather than sizing up.
Length
The 32-inch length hits most people mid-calf, landing a few inches below the widest part of the calf muscle. If you’re five-foot-two, expect it to graze the top of your ankle; if you’re five-ten, it will sit closer to mid-shin. We intentionally kept the hem unfinished with a simple serged edge, so you can easily trim an inch or two at home if needed.

Care instructions & longevity
Linen gets better with age, but only if you treat it right. Toss this skirt in the washing machine on cold or warm—never hot—and tumble dry on low or hang it to air-dry. High heat will set wrinkles permanently and can cause the cotton fibers to shrink unevenly against the linen.
We don’t recommend dry cleaning for everyday maintenance. The solvents used in traditional dry cleaning can strip the natural oils in linen, leaving it stiff and brittle over time. If you do spill something that needs professional attention, look for a wet-cleaning service instead. For general upkeep, a steam iron on medium heat will smooth out any creases that bother you, though most customers tell us they prefer the lived-in look that comes with a few natural folds.

Linen Blend Skirt questions
The 55% linen, 45% cotton blend wrinkles less than pure linen but more than synthetic fabrics. Expect some natural creasing after sitting, especially behind the knees. Most customers find the relaxed texture part of the appeal and skip ironing altogether. If you prefer a crisper look, a quick pass with a steam iron on medium heat will smooth it out in under two minutes.
Machine wash on cold or warm with like colors, then tumble dry on low or hang to air-dry. We pre-wash the fabric before cutting, so you won’t see significant shrinkage. Avoid high heat in the dryer, which can cause the cotton and linen fibers to shrink at different rates and create puckering along the seams. Dry cleaning is not necessary for routine care.
The linen blend skirt is lighter and more breathable, with a relaxed A-line cut and elastic waistband. The cotton poplin maxi skirt has a crisper hand, a longer length that reaches the ankle, and a button-front closure. Choose the linen blend for casual comfort and the poplin maxi for a more structured, polished look.
The elastic waistband stretches about two inches beyond the labeled size, so if you’re between measurements, stick with your usual size rather than sizing up. If you prefer a looser fit through the hips, go up one size. The A-line cut is forgiving and doesn’t cling, so most customers find their regular size works well.
We use fiber-reactive dyes that bond directly to the cellulose in both linen and cotton, so the color stays true through dozens of washes. You may notice very slight softening of the shade after the first wash, but that’s normal for natural fibers and won’t continue with subsequent laundering. Wash with like colors and avoid chlorine bleach to preserve the original tone.
The elastic waistband has about two inches of give, so it accommodates some fluctuation in waist size. Several customers have told us they wore it comfortably during and after pregnancy. Because there’s no rigid closure, it sits gently against the body without digging in. If you’re in the early postpartum period and unsure, we recommend ordering your pre-pregnancy size—the stretch will handle the rest.
Yes. The hem is serged rather than traditionally finished, so you can trim it with sharp fabric scissors and either leave the raw edge as-is or run a simple zigzag stitch along the new edge to prevent fraying. Because the fabric is a blend, it won’t unravel aggressively like pure linen sometimes does.
